NDE Partners Abuja Firm To Empower 25 Bauchi Youth

National Directorate of Employment, NDE has partnered with Abuja Graduate School to empower 25 Bauchi youth with skills in solar power installation and maintenance.

The training is part of NDE’s commitment to trim the rate of unemployment among youth in the country.

Ali Lawan, Bauchi State NDE Coordinator stated this on Monday at the opening ceremony of the training programme in Bauchi.

He explained that the training was initiated by the Director-General of NDE, Mallam Abubakar Nuhu Fiko.

The Coordinator said that at the end of the training, starter packs and certificates will be leased out to the beneficiaries of the initiative, adding that similar exercises will be replicated in other parts of the country.

Mr Lawan called on the participants to focus and acquire the knowledge and made good use of it in shaping their future.

In his remark, Engineer Peter Ugboji, Bauchi State Coordinator Abuja Graduate School, said that the consulting firm deemed it right to train youths for self-reliance, applauding NDE for the continual mass training.

Engineer Ugboji used the medium to call on the Youths to avail themselves with the opportunity to become self-reliant and become job creators instead of roving the streets looking for job.

Some of the participants who spoke to Wikkitimes pledged their unwavering commitment to make good use of the knowledge to be acquired at the end of the training to became self-reliant.
