NFF suspension of Football Activities: Bauchi FA dispatches officials to enforce order

Bashir Idris, Secretary of Bauchi State Football Association (FA), on Friday said the association has dispatched officials to stadia in the state to enforce suspension of football activities by Nigeria Football Federation (NFF).

Idris disclosed this in an interview with News Agency of Nigeria (NAN), in Bauchi.

NAN recalled that Nigeria Football Federation (NFF) had on March 18, postponed all football activities until April 15, due Conora Virus ravaging some countries of the world.

According to him, the officials have been posted to the 20 Local Government Areas in the state to ensure full compliance with NFF’s directive.

“The FA in the state had received a letter from NFF to postpone all Football activities in the country for one month and we have communicated same to soccer clubs and organisations in the state.

“We have equally informed managers, referees association and security agencies that are stakeholders.

“We therefore urge club administrators and fans to bear with the temporary situation as it is not only limited to Nigeria, but worldwide,” he said.

The secretary said the posting of officials to stadia had become necessary to ensure that there was no breach of the NFF directive.

He said normal Football activities would resume as from April 16, 2020
