An Islamic oriented Non-Governmental Organisation, NGO, has distributed clothing materials to over five hundred orphans and vulnerable children in the Dass local government area of Bauchi State.
Malam Anas Hashimu, Chairman of the Organisation stated this on Tuesday in Dass.
The Chairman said that the gesture was aimed at putting smiles on the faces of the beneficiaries.
Malam Ansa Hashimu who was represented by Abubakar Ayuba called on other organizations to support orphans and vulnerable children to enable them live a comfortable life.
The Emir of Dass Alhaji Usman Bilyaminu Othman who was represented by Madakin Dass Alhaji Dauda Ibrahim commended the organisation for its support, saying that the gesture would go a long way in reducing the hardship faced by orphans.
Hajiya Fatimah Alhaji Sabo, Dass Women Leader, applauded the state government for its support to orphans in the state and urged it to maintain the tempo.
