Niger State cautions APC members against anti-party activities

The Niger Government on Wednesday warned members of All Progressives Congress (APC) in the state against anti-party activities.

Alhaji Aminu Yusuf, the Special Adviser to Gov. Abubakar Bello on Political Matters, gave the warning while presenting appointment letters to 40 APC Ward Ambassadors in Mashegu Local Government area of the state.

“We have to desist from anti-party activities in order to ensure unity of our party,” he said.Yusuf urged members of the party to support the government as it was committed to providing more dividends of democracy to the electorate.

“I appeal to our party members in the 25 local government areas to unite and work for the success and growth of APC,” he said.

The special adviser assured other party executives in Mashegu that more appointments as ward ambassadors would soon be made in recognition of their support to the party in the last elections.

Earlier, Alhaji Alhassan Mazakuka, the Chairman of Mashegu Local Government area, commended Bello for the gesture and called for its sustenance.

Mazakuka. who was represented by the local government party auditor, Alhaji Mamman Salihu, congratulated the newly appointed ward ambassadors and pledged to support them in the discharge of their duties.

He reiterated the commitment of his administratiion to embarking on meaningful projects that would touch the lives of the people. (NAN)
