Nigerian hotel proprietors groans over multiple taxation

The Nigeria Hotels Association has decried multiple taxation imposed on them by various state governments across the country.

National President of the Association, His Highness, Eze Patrick Anyanwu who disclosed this in a press statement on Friday in Bauchi, appealed to the federal government to help address the issue before it cripples their operations in the country.

Eze Anyanwu, who described the hotel industry as one of the most important institutions in the country, pointed out that they are operating under harsh economic situations particularly in Imo, Kaduna and Kano states.

“We appeal to the Federal Government to come to our aid with regard to the multiple taxation imposed on us by state governors.” Eze Anyanwu said.

While  commending the Federal Government for the sustainable peace and stability in the country, the association’s President enjoined President Muhammadu Buhari to improve the economic situation in the nation in order to alleviate the sufferings the people.

Eze Anyanwue who wished Nigerians a a happy new year, urged government to map out strategies that will curb incidences of kidnapping, armed robbery and many other security challenges bedevilling the country.
