Bauchi State Accountant General Dr. Sa’idu Abubakar has presented a special gift to nine members of staff in his office who retired from active service.
Speaking at a farewell reception in honor of the retirees, the Accountant General said the gesture is to appreciate the positive contribution of the retirees while in active service.
Dr. Sa’idu Abubakar enjoined retired civil servants in the state to key into agriculture and other useful ventures for self reliance.
Represented by the Director Administration and Finance in his office, the Accountant General promised to consider constructive criticism to enhance smooth operation.
Speaking on behalf of the nine retirees, the outgoing Director, Local Government Operation, Alhaji Adamu Aliyu commended the Accountant General for the gesture and appealed to the state government to consider accelerated promotion for worker’s who excel in the discharge of their responsibilities.
