APC North East Youth Awareness Forum has jettisoned party differences and declare its support to Governor Bala Abdulkadir Mohammed of Bauchi State to contest the 2023 presidential election.
Hassan Chaka, Chairman of the Forum stated this on Tuesday when he led other members of the group on a solidarity visit to the governor at the Government House Bauchi.
The Chairman said that the party line differences between them cannot deter them from backing the political ideals of Bala Mohmmed come 2023 because of their desire to bring unparallel development to the Northeast subregion.
“One of our objectives in the forum is the political interest of the North East, especially in a democratic dispensation and to enable us to contribute to national development.
“Your Excellency, we are here in Bauchi for a solidarity visit, you are from PDP and we are from APC, but despite our political differences we must say that we are satisfied with the performance of your administration and with that, you have our support,” he said.
Chaka said the forum also supported the endorsement of Governor Bala Mohammed by his supporters and well-wishers to contest the apex seat in the forthcoming 2023 presidential election in the country.
“Many have recently endorsed you to contest for president in the next presidential election and we in the APC North East Youth Awareness Forum we are in support of the endorsement and we will work for you.”
“We took interest in you because of your commitment to the development of Bauchi state within your two years of office and we are convinced that you will take us to the promised land if you become our next president.”
Responding, Governor Bala Mohammed expressed gratitude to the forum for acknowledging the achievements so far recorded by his administration in critical sectors of the state’s economy thereby declaring interest to join hands with his government.
The governor who spoke through the Secretary to the State Government, Barrister Ibrahim Kashim said he is still in consultation with critical stakeholders before he announces his position on the endorsement.
