Operatives of the Bauchi State Command of the Nigeria Security and Civil Defence Corps (NSCDC), have arrested a 20-year-old resident of Misau LGA for allegedly raping a 12-year-old girl.
The suspect, Ibrahim Sadiq was arrested after he allegedly lured the victim to an uncompleted building and forcefully had carnal knowledge of the young girl.
Confirming the arrest in a statement, Saminu J Yusuf, the spokesman of the command said Sadiq was arrested by operatives of the command in Misau on 27th December, 2024.
“On the 27th Dec, 2024, at Misau local government, Ibrahim Saudiq, male , 20yrs from Misau was arrested by NSCDC personnel for his forceful having carnal knowledge of a 12 yrs old girl in an uncompleted building”, said Yusuf.
The spokesman said the suspect had upon interrogation confessed to have committed the crime, noted that the command will soon prosecute him pending the conclusion of investigation.
