NUBASS Suspends Nat’l President, Junaid, For Alleged Financial Delinquency

Comrade Mahmoud Abubakar Junaid, National President of the National Union of Bauchi State Students (NUBASS) has been suspended indefinitely for alleged financial wrongdoings and violation of the union’s constitution.

WikkiTimes learned that the suspension is indefinite.

In a suspension letter signed by the union’s Judicial Council Chairman, Comrade Abbas Ibrahim and the Secretary, Kamalu Isa Ahmed, NUBASS accused the suspended President of involvement in embezzlement of the union’s fund and singlehandedly carrying out financial transactions without due process.

NUBASS directed the suspended President to hand over all properties belonging to the union in his possession to his vice and stop parading himself as their president pending the outcome of investigations.

“The president is hereby suspended indefinitely and shall within 48 hours handover all documents pertaining to his office to the vice president who is by law required to assume the office of the present pending the final investigation into the case,” the letter read in parts.

However, when contacted, the embattled President alleged that the letter came from his political opponents, adding that he heard about it but was not officially served.
