The Nigeria Union of Journalists (NUJ) Gombe State Council has congratulated Comrade Alhassan Yahya on his resounding victory at the National Triennial Delegates Conference held in Owerri, Imo State.

The Council, in a statement jointly signed by its Chairman, Faruk Muazu Gombe and Secretary, Shuaibu Umar, said Yahya’s victory with an overwhelming majority is a testament to his dedication, hard work, and commitment to the union.
The State Council extended its deepest appreciation to all delegates who reposed their confidence in the new president.
The council also commended the Gombe State delegates for their patience, understanding, and solidarity throughout the event.
The statement added that the victory is a reflection of the trust and confidence that the union has in Comrade Yahya’s leadership.
“We are confident that he will continue to champion the cause of journalists and promote the values of the union,” said the Chairman.
The council noted that it looks forward to working with the new national leadership to advance the interests of journalists in Gombe State and beyond.
