Seven people have been kidnapped in Kurmi village of Ningi local government area of Bauchi state.
The incident is said to have happened on Sunday 3rd March, at about 10:00 pm.
Speaking to this medium one of the close family relatives of the former Councilor, noted with dismay that the attackers invaded the House of Hon Abdulrahaman Kurmi on Sunday night armed with guns with intention to kidnap him but he escaped the attack.
He said on arrival at the residence they started shooting sporadically.

A former councilor of Kurmi ward Abdulrahaman Kurmi, was lucky to escape from the kidnapping mission with two gunshots on his body.
The honorable was shot two times and he was able to run with gunshot, they however later kidnapped one of his sons.
The source added that the attackers also kidnapped another four members of the community, and proceeded to the nearby community Tara where they lunched another raid and kidnapped two people.
He said the whereabouts of the seven kidnapped victims cannot be ascertain as the abductees are yet to call for ransom.
When contacted the caretaker chairman Ningi local government area Hon Ibrahim Zubairu Mato, confirmed the incidence, said among the abducted victims include a Nursing mother.
He said his council with support from the state government would re-strategise the security architecture for a peaceful atmosphere to reign in the area.
