The Plateau State House of Assembly on Friday screened and confirmed the nominations for the chairman and members of the Plateau State Independent Electoral Commission (PLASIEC).
Speaker Gabriel Dewan read Governor Caleb Mutfwang’s communication to the house, leading to the subsequent screening and confirmation.

In his letter, the governor stated that the request was made in accordance with the powers conferred on him by the Constitution of the Federal Republic of Nigeria 1999, as amended.
The nominees who were screened and confirmed for the PLASIEC include Mr. Plangji Chishak as Chairman, Mrs. Theresa Kaze, Mrs. Deborah Akanle, Mr. Ado Adare, Waziri Kwande, Mr. Audu Dorzhi, Dr. Langman Pensiwan as Members, and Pam Davou as Secretary.
News Agency of Nigeria reports that Speaker Dewan congratulated the appointees and urged them to diligently serve the people of Plateau State.
