Men of Nassarawa State Police Command have arrested three suspected armed robbers pillaging residents of Karu local council of the state.
Police spokesman in Nassarawa, Rahman Nansel disclosed this on Tuesday in Lafia, the state capital, saying the police command in New Karu Area arrested the suspects through actionable intelligence.
The suspects are; 33-year-old Musa Mohammed, 32-year-old Adams Lawal, and 32-year-old Mark Friday respectively.

“Nasarawa State Police Command in a bid to reduce crime to its lowest level carried out an intelligence-led operation against criminals in Karu LGA of Nasarawa state and its environs,” Nansel said in a statement.
He continued: “The police operatives attached to New Karu area command via actionable intelligence successfully apprehended the three suspects, Musa Mohammed 33yrs, Adams Lawal 32yrs and Mark Friday 32yrs; all males.”

Nansel stated that the command recovered two locally fabricated pistols, one pump action, seven rounds of live cartridges and one Honda Accord with registration number, RBC 570 KZ, snatched at gunpoint from a victim at a village in the Masala area of Karu Local Government Area of the state.
According to him, preliminary investigation revealed that the trio were a syndicate of armed robbers who specialises in car snatching. He stated that they attacked unsuspecting members of the public who go out very early in the morning to work or business places and snatch their vehicles.
He, however, disclosed that further investigation by the command led to the arrest of Kayode Olajide, the receiver of the stolen vehicle.
Nansel said the commissioner of police, Adesina Soyemi, has ordered a comprehensive investigation into the case, assuring that yhe suspects would be charged to court after due investigation.
