Police Personnel in Bauchi have arrested Abubakar Talba, 37, for allegedly Abducting Mas’ud Barau, 12 and Ibrahim Kabiru, 13, from Daura, Katsina State.
Similarly, the suspect was accused of sodomizing one of his victims Barau who hailed from Gamniya village in Niger Republic in a mosque in Udubo, a community in Gamawa local government area of Bauchi State
The victim, Bray, met Talba at Rijiyar Zaki, Kano State after he migrated into Nigeria to learn memorisation of Holy Qur’an.
Spokesperson of Bauchi Police Command, SP Ahmed Wakil disclosed this to reporters in statement on Thursday.
Residents of Udubo, a community in Gamawa local government area of Bauchi State has filed a complaint against Talba over his constant maltreatment of the boys who were under him as disguised Qur’anic teacher having earlier moved to the community from Daura.
“During interrogation, the suspect confessed that he had attended a Quranic school in Fagge. He met one of his victims at Bata area in Fagge local government, Kano State.
“The suspect lured his first victim, Braun, from Kano to Daura under the pretence that he would support him to start a business under the pretence of providing capital to start selling touch lights and batteries.
The suspect would be charged to court after the investigation is completed,” Waking said.
