Police Nab 3 With Fresh Human Head In Gombe

Gombe State Police Command on Thursday said it has arrested three persons over alleged possession of a fresh human head.

Ishola Babaita, the state’s Commissioner of Police, said the three men were apprehended on March 30 with a human head, following credible information the operatives obtained.

According to the Police, the suspects are, Yale Saleh (27), Baba Muhammadu (24) and Aminu Salisu, 22 all of Dinawa village in Kwami Local Government Area of Gombe State.

They were paraded at the command’s headquarters over alleged criminal conspiracy and unlawful possession of a human head.

CP Babaita said preliminary investigation revealed that the three suspects dug a grave in the night and cut off the head of a male deceased (name omitted), who was buried on March 28 morning at Dinawa village cemetery.

He said the suspects further confessed to having dug the grave of a deceased woman name yet to be known at the same Dinawa village cemetery and cut off her head.

Babaita added that an effort was ongoing to recover the second head, adding that the case has been transferred to the State Criminal Investigation Department (SCID) for discreet investigation and prosecution.
