A police officer was caught smoking Indian Hemp on duty publicly in Ijora area of Lagos State.
An in-the-act picture of the police officer went viral online after a concerned fellow secretly snapped him and posted it online.
Instablog shared the post on Instagram along with the caption, “[A] Nigerian police officer at Ijora Lagos smoking weed on duty.”
CSP Muyiwa Adejobi, the Acting Force Public Relations Officer said the IGP will take the necessary punitive measures against the erring police officer.
Sunday Punch reports that the Lagos State Police Command has been directed to fish out the concerned police officer.
“This is condemned in its totality. It’s quite unfortunate that we can see an officer of the police, in uniform, degenerate to this level. We just kick against this to serve as a deterrent to others.”
