In its quest to trim down the rates of crimes and other forms of insecurity in Toro local government, the Bauchi State Police Command has opened an additional new divisional police outpost in Tilden-Fulani community.
This is the second time in about two years that the command is opening a police division in Toro local government. The recent one was commissioned in Tulo.
Toro local government hosts a great proportion of the protected Lame-Burra Forest Reserve and shares boundaries with Kaduna, Plateau and Kano States.
Speaking at the commissioning ceremony, Commissioner of Police Bauchi State Command, Umar Mamman Sanda said the new outpost will help the police scale up policing in the immediate environs of Tilden-Fulani communities but Toro local government entirely.
He said the command is committed to ensuring police presence in every knocks and cranny of Bauchi State to secure the lives and property of the people.
The Commissioner said that the command will also increase the number of police personnel at Tilden-Fulani from eight to thirty for a more robust policing of the community.
CP Sanda called on the people of Toro local government to make useful intelligence information available to the police.
