‘Pray For A Peaceful 2023 General Elections In Nigeria,’ Bala Mohammed Tells Bauchi Muslim Pilgrims

Bauchi State Governor Bala Abdulkadir Mohammed has tasked the 2022 intending Muslim pilgrims from the state to the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia to fervently pray for the peaceful conduct of the 2023 general elections.

This is the first time in two years that Muslim pilgrims all over the world visit Saudi Arabia on pilgrimage since the wake-up of the dreaded COVID-19. About 1366 pilgrims from Bauchi State will take part in this year’s Hajj rite.

The governor said this in Bauchi in a farewell message to the pilgrims at Sultan Sa’ad Abubakar Hajj Camp Bauchi.

He appealed to pilgrims to avoid acts that will tarnish the image of the state and the country inclusive.

Governor Bala assured the pilgrims that the state government has made adequate arrangements for a befitting accommodation for them close to the Holy Mosque.

He said putting into cognizance the impending challenges bedeviling the country, it is imperative for the pilgrims to remember their father land while making supplications in the Holy Land.

Bauchi State 2022 Amirul Hajj, Emir of Katagum. Alhaji Umar Faruk II assured the pilgrims that his team members will always be on the ground to offer assistance and ensure their successful stay in the Holy land.

He called on the pilgrims to always bring forward any grievance that may arise for urgent actions to be taken to tackle it.
