The Presidency has dismissed as false reports claiming that President Bola Tinubu has removed Mr Femi Gbajabiamila as Chief of Staff and replaced him with the Principal Private Secretary, Mr Hakeem Muri-Okunola.
The Presidency described the report, which has circulated widely on social media, as a fabrication designed to mislead the public and create disaffection within government.
This clarification was contained in a statement issued on Thursday by the Presidential Spokesperson, Mr Bayo Onanuga.
“There is absolutely no truth to this story. Nigerians should disregard it entirely,” Mr Onanuga said.

He stressed that Mr Gbajabiamila remains in office as Chief of Staff to the President, adding that Mr Muri-Okunola also continues to serve in his current role as Principal Private Secretary.
“The Chief of Staff remains in his position. The Principal Private Secretary likewise remains in his role. There has been no replacement,” the statement said.
The Presidency blamed the report on purveyors of fake news, warning that such misinformation was capable of undermining public trust and disrupting governance.
It urged media organisations and social media users to verify information from official sources before publishing or sharing reports, and advised Nigerians to rely on authorised government channels for accurate updates on the administration’s activities.
