A former state minister of education, Hon. Barr Chukwuemeka Nwajiuba, has distributed foodstuffs to some residents of Nasarawa Jahun and neighbouring communities in Bauchi Metropolis to support them during the Ramadan fasting.
Mr. Nwajiuba, represented by the Bauchi State Coordinator of Young Nigerian Voices, Barr S. G. Idrees, said the support was to bring soccuor to the faithful while on the important religious activity.
Barr S. G. Idrees commends the kind gesture extended to the Muslim ummah in Bauchi by the former minister.
He said Mr. Nwajiuba has shown that when we keep aside our differences and decide to work together, Nigeria will be a better place for all.
The former minister distributed cartons of spaghetti and noodles to the needy in the State to ameliorate their situation in this holy month of Ramadan.
The community applauds the kind gesture and pray for Mr Nwajiuba to get his heart desire.
Some beneficiaries, Dahiru Mohammed and Munkaila Ismail applauded the minister for the gesture especially coming during the Ramadan fast.
“We commend the former minister, and may we have many of his kind in the country who will transcend religious and tribal lines in an attempt to reach out to their fellow compatriots,” Mohammed said.
