Hoodlums have set the residence of Dauda Kahutu Rarara ablaze shortly after the declaration of the Kano state governorship election where New Nigeria Peoples Party (NNPP) Abba Kabir Yusuf emerged victorious.
Rarara is a leading political singer in Northern Nigeria and has been actively supporting All Progressives Congress’ (APC) Nasir Yusuf Gawuna recently.
An eyewitness, Yusuf Abdullahi, said that the hoodlums invaded the house and started destroying valuables before setting the house on fire.
The police shortly arrived and dispersed people around the area.
Another eyewitness confirmed that some suspects have been apprehended by the police while the fire was brought under control.
