Bandits in Katsina States have finally freed the mother of the Hausa ace political singer, Dauda Kahutu Rarara, after 20 days in captivity.
Hajiya Hauwa’u Adamu has been earlier kidnapped in her home towards the end of Junes.
A source close to the family told Daily Trust that the singer’s mother has been conveyed to a hospital in Abuja where she is currently receiving medical attention.
Already managing high blood pressure, the source said that her health condition worsened while in captivity.
People in Kahutu village, hometown of the singer in Danja local government area of Katsina State, celebrated the news of her release.
WikkiTimes cannot confirm whether ransom has been paid but the bandits had initially demanded N1 billion.
