REV. FR. MBAKA VS. PETER OBI: a Tale of Miscarried Sale of Fake Electoral Victory Prophecy.

The melodrama between Rev. Fr. Ejike Mbaka of Enugu Adoration ministry and Mr Peter Obi, former governor of Anambra state and vice presidential candidate of the Peoples Democratic Party, which occurred on Sunday the 2nd day of December 2018 is no longer news as the video has gone viral, eliciting various reactions from both far and near.

Mr Obi, who was invited by the Catholic priest for the ministry’s bazaar resisted every attempt by Fr Mbaka to hoodwink him into announcing financial donation to the church or risk losing the forthcoming election.

Obi who was smarter and refused to succumb to Fr Mbaka’s entreaties was publicly humiliated and blackmailed by the clergy out of frustration.

As the dust generated by this event gradually settles, there’s a need to x-ray this charade and juxtapose it with the conducts of church leaders generally in Nigeria and the rest of Africa.

In all honesty, I was the least astounded by that oprobrious display of mundane egocentrism  at the “alter of God” by Fr Ejike Mbaka.

Instead I was flabbergasted by the number of people who appeared startled by this encounter, labelling such as an erraticism.

It speaks volume of the number of people who still believe in the incessant dramatic orchestra at the pulpit by con artists and scammers whose chief stock in trade is the exploitation of gullible minds through the  potent weapon of religion.

It was a sad reminder of the multitude who are still held hostage this way by shrewd business men whose only merchandise is the name of God, fleecing the masses of their hard-earned income in exchange for imaginary heavenly abodes while they frolic in prodigious wealth and paradisaical earthly acquaintances.

I truly feel so sorry for such credulous folks who regrettably are in the majority. Please save yourself an upsurge in blood pressure by coming to terms with the realities of religion so that you don’t throw common sense in the wind as you identify with your chosen sect.

Mbaka has done nothing eccentric other than publicly and temporarily losing the usual tactical power of persuasion laced with divine promises and open inducement of fear of an everlasting inferno.

Out of desperation to defraud a man who is highly revered for his intellectual prowess, economic iconography and political sagacity, he descended ignominiously to coercive abuses and threats.

Mbaka has never left lucent minds in doubt of his inextinguishable appetite for materialism through the gospel of Jesus Christ. His ministry is notorious for laying ambush on politicians especially during electioneering periods like this when the political waves are agog with quests for electoral endorsements; when the pulpits turn to podiums for political campaigns, and  prophecies are packaged for the highest bidders.

But how do you expect Mbaka to raise funds for his business empires, the Aqua Rapha line ups and other products in the pipeline? Who told you that Mbaka is allergic to private jets, private universities, and other terrestrial aristocratic acquisitions characteristic of general overseers of Africa”s fastest growing and most lucrative business ventures called churches?

Anyway I sympathise with you if you felt let down by the encounter between your spiritual hero and Mr Peter Obi. But this was just a sneek peek. And for those religious chauvinists who may attempt to take advantage of the recent happening to canvas and advance denominational superiority, be you informed that your “pastopreneurs” are not different and may even be worse.

Those your massive church auditoriums are simply offshoots of deep romance between your so called “men of God” (sic) and treasury looters, drug barons, ritual killers and other evil men in the society. They all deal in the same commodity – FRAUD. These scammers collaborate with politicians to degrade humanity in Africa, pouring encomiums on inept leaders who heavily grease their palms.

They would hardly speak against the decayed social infrastructure, the collapse of academic and health institutions, the growing insecurity and unemployment, and other misadministrative fallouts.

Instead they make gold mines out of these misfortunes. Unfortunately, these merchants of men will remain  in business because of only one factor – your gullibility. Due to the degree of brainwashing that you have undergone, you will not only defend these swindlers with envenomous ferocity, but will threaten fire and brimstone on anyone who criticises their antics. You will swiftly deploy the medieval default mantra of “touch not my anointed” which has over the ages provided safe landing for exonerating these cozeners from any wrongdoing.

It is still you who would label such criticisms as atheistic disposition. Because in your bigotted thinking, there’s no distinction between theism and churchgoing. This is why thousands of these pastopreneurs  are springing up in every nook and cranny of Nigeria and the people are getting poorer by the day. You better receive sense today; and pursue godliness rather than religiosity.
