There is an indication that the otherwise cordial relationship between Gombe State governor, Muhammadu Inuwa Yahaya and his Senator Danjuma Goje and former governor of the state has gone awry.
This is development is glaring, as the supporters of Governor Inuwa Yahaya under the auspices of Gombe Youth Vanguard fire the first salvo by berating Goje.
The group besides alleging some infractions against Goje, equally called on the senator to resign from All Progressives Congress (APC).
Investigation revealed that the governor is against Goje returning to the Senate in 2023, but have a preferred candidate who is presently in the House of Representatives representing Gombe Central, the District Goje is presently representing in the Senate.
Also, the Senator is said not to be happy with the way the governor is running the affairs of the state, as other citizens of the state are facing untold hardship.
The Senator is said to have nurtured the governor politically and the governor has served as Finance Commissioner during the Senator administration of Gombe State as Governor.
A source who is abreast of Gombe politics who did not want his name in print said Goje enjoys majority elopement in the state ahead of 2023, indicated that the duo no longer enjoys a mutual relationship.
He said if Goje turns his back on Yahaya, it will be practically impossible for him to win re-election in the 2023 governorship election in the state.
Also one of the staunch supporters who pleaded anonymity, said their camp believe in “Allah to defeat Goje’s plan to oust Yahaya in 2023.”
