Saudi Arabi’s King Salman Rushed to Hospital

King Salman Bn Abdull’aziz has been taken to hospital for emergency medical attention following complication from gall bladder inflammation.

Saudi news agency SPA on Monday reported that King Salman is on admission in a hospital in Riyadh.
WikkiTimes reports that no further details were given about the condition of the 84-year-old ruler.

King Salman who is a descendant of Al-Saud, has ruled the Kingdom since 2015.

He spent two and a half years as crown prince in 2012 and deputy prime minister before he became King.

He also served as governor of Riyadh region for over 50 years.

Following the hospitalisation of King Salman, the Kingdom through its Foreign Affairs Ministry cancelled a scheduled plan to receive Iraqi Prime minister, Mustapha Al-Khadhimi on official bilateral visit to the Kingdom billed to take place this week.

Saudi Foreign Affairs Minister, Faisal Bn Farhan As-Saud wrote on Twitter, “in recognition of the importance of the visit and a desire to make it succeed, our wise leadership in collaboration with our brothers in Iraq has decided to postpone the visit.”
