The Grand leader of Tijjaniya in Nigeria, Sheikh Dahiru Usman Bauchi, has urged Nigerians to turn away from sin to foster peace, unity and economic prosperity in the country.
Sheikh Dahiru Bauchi said this over the weekend during a Maulud session in Bar-Bununu, a community in Tafawa Balewa local government area of Bauchi State.
Sheikh Dahiru Bauchi who was represented by his son, Maulana Aliyu Dahiru Usman Bauchi explains that Nigeria’s struggles stem from moral decay, with citizens neglecting their faith and engaging in harmful acts.
He warned that peace and growth would remain elusive unless people abandon sinful behaviours.
Sheikh Dahiru Bauchi encouraged Nigerians, especially Muslims, to embrace the virtues of honesty, love, patience, and compassion demonstrated by the Prophet Muhammad (SAW).
He highlighted these qualities as vital for addressing both personal and national challenges.
Earlier, the Village head of Bar-Bununu, Abdullahi Muazu, called on his people to apply the lessons of Maulud to lead a righteous life and secure salvation in the hereafter.
