Hameem Nuhu Muhammad Sanusi, the son of the late Emir of Dutse, Nuhu Muhammad Sunusi, has been confirmed as the new overall monarch of the emirate following his father’s demise.
Sanusi was appointed after a selection process conducted by a group of seven kingmakers of the Dutse Emirate Council. The late emir who aged 78 passed away last week after a brief illness.

In a press statement made available t journalists, Hameem emerged victorious among other three contenders.
Following the selection, the emirate sent Hameem’s name to Muhammad Badaru Abubakar, the governor of Jigawa State for confirmation and approval.
