Stalled Hospital Project: Contractor Blames Ministry for Delay

Acute Option Limited, a contractor handling construction of a general Hospital in Lemu town of Gbako local government in Niger State, has blamed the Federal Ministry of Health for the delay in the project execution.

An employee of the company who refused to disclose his identity in a phone interview through a contact obtained from the company’s website said the Ministry remains in a better position to explain the reasons behind the delay.

According to Tracka.ng N99.5m was released to Acute Option Limited for the construction and Furnishing of General Hospital With Solar Inverter and Borehole in Lemu Town Gbako LGA in the 2022 budget of the federal government

The representative of the company who spoke to WikkiTime harshly on the phone and refused to mention his name or designation, noted that only the body that can respond to the abandoned project is the ministry.

The unnamed official of the company noted that the project on the ground has gone beyond the released amount while further emphasizing that the Ministry of Health is the only agency that can respond to why further funds have not been committed to the construction of the project

It was also learned that the said project which is a three-story building has been abandoned since February 2023 when the contractors left the site of the project.
