As the 2023 general elections draw closer, supporters and associates of Senator Idris Abdullahi Umar have asked him to contest the Gombe Central senatorial seat currently occupied by Senator Muhammad Danjuma Goje.
Rising from a one-day All Progressives Congress (APC) stakeholders’ meeting yesterday in Kumo, Akko LGA of the state, a political group, ‘Barrister Idris Youth Forum, said people of the zone have unanimously agreed to support the onetime minister of transport come 2023.
One of the conveners of the group, Comrade Isiaku Bindo, told newsmen that the aim of the meeting was to inform the good people of Gombe Central Senatorial District that Senator Idris will contest for the Senate seat come 2023.
