Department of State Security Services (DSS) says it has detained Abdulrasheed Bawa, the suspended chairperson of the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission (EFCC).
Bawa was indefinitely suspended yesterday by President Bola Ahmed Tinubu.
Abdulrasheed Bawa, has submitted himself for interrogation by Nigeria’s secret police, the State Security Service (SSS).
The DDS had invited Bawa a few hours after his suspension. Bawa, however, honored the invitation, according to the secret police.
“The invitation relates to some investigative activities concerning him,” spokesman for DSS, Peter Afunanya, said in a tweet.
