5 MILLION RANSOM FOR A LOCAL KIDNAPPED FROM NEIGHBOURING VILLAGE
Last month, bandits stormed Essan village in Gwam ward of Paikoro and kidnapped 20 persons. According to Gunduma, the locals were kidnapped after they returned from Jumaat prayers.
“It took a week before they (bandits) responded because they demanded for 5 million for one person,” he told WikkiTimes. “Twenty persons were kidnapped and 18 were able to be rescued. One escaped and a N5 million ransom is being demanded for the only person remaining in captivity.”
The victims being held got married five days after Sallah festival, WikkiTimes learnt.
