According to him, the gunmen shot dead two people in Pobawure village and one person in Amtawalam village and also set fire on houses.

The commissioner noted that he received a call on Friday at about 2 am that the gunmen invaded the villages. However, he claimed that security men were deployed to the scene to repel the attack.

“If not for the quick response by the security men, the magnitude of the attack would be too much. The security agents had succeeded in repelling them. The gunmen had fled and an investigation is currently going on,” he said.
