The Time For Unity In The People’s Redemption Party (PRP) Is Now

My fellow comrades, in life disagreement between right-thinking members of any society, group or association is inevitable, but the need to grow beyond the disagreement without animosity and disaffection is the only sure alternative to collective successes and the attainment of the objective of such society, group or association. The People’s Redemption Party (PRP) can not be an exception in this regard.

The internal contradictions within the PRP at the moment is a clear indicator of a true lefties party, which is constantly expanding, growing astronomically in size and relevance and attracting the attention of people from far and wide. But believe me, this is part of the result of the growth the party is experiencing at the moment and we must find a way of understanding the implications of that.

I have always believed that in the PRP like in any major political organisation, there are basically, three group of persons, it is left for you and I to identify where we actually stand. And to me, these groups are as follows:-

  1. The Attention/Relevance Seekers.
  2. Those Who Truly Believe in the PRP Ideology.
  3. Those Who Are In PRP Because of Their God Fathers (Others).

For the purpose of this piece, I may not go into details in explaining what I mean by each of these three (3) categories, and but no matter what category you belong, make sure in the PRP struggles, you did share in the party’s ideology, as that is the only category that will be identified with by posterity.

My comrades 2023 is around the corner and in political terms is like tomorrow and if our future as a clear third force among Nigeria’s political parties is anything to go by, then 2023 will be our touchstone. And any well meaning member of the PRP Family must have it at the back of his mind going forward, that internal unity is the major ingredient that we need to propel us to our desired destination and not otherwise, but our only challenge will forever remain that of the aspirations of the attention or relevance seekers within the party.

Therefore, my comrades it time for us to sheath our swords and begin a true reconciliatory effort of building or rebuilding the party, depending on the direction one wish to view things at the moment. My brothers, no matter what, the party can only move forward if we are united as members of the party on the basis of ideology and objectives.

Please! Let’s joined hands and build the People’s Redemption Party (PRP) of our dream.
