To Disperse Protesters, Police Officers Shoot The Nation Journalist, Female Student In Osogbo

Operatives of Nigeria Police Force have shot The Nation’s reporter, Tobi Adedeji and a yet-to-be-identified student at a protest scene in Osogbo, the capital of Osun State.

WikkiTimes gathered that the officers were deployed to the crowdy scene to restore normalcy, but instead compounded the unrest.

Sadly, The reporter who was covering the protest became the story after the officers shot him on his leg. The other victim sustained gunshot wound on her tigh. While the location of latter remains unknown, the reporter has been taken to Osun State University Teaching Hospital for medical attention.

Yemisi Opalola, the Osun State Police Public Relations Officer (PPRO), when contacted, told WekkiTimes the details of the incident remains sketchy at the moment.

“I have not made inquiry about the incident. I will inform you when the details of the incidents are available,” she pledged.
