The Kano State Governorship Election Petition Tribunal will pass judgment on Wednesday between Governor Abba Kabir Yusuf of the New Nigeria People Party (NNPP) and Nasir Yusuf Gawuna of the All Progressives Congress (APC).
The tribunal announced the date for the judgment Monday in a hearing notice sent to parties involved in the matter which was sighted by WikkiTimes late Monday evening.
A member of the NNPP legal team Barrister Bashir T/Warzici confirmed the date fixed for the judgment.
“We are happy that the day is finally at hand and we are very happy because we know the petition will be dismissed with cost.
On his part, the deputy chairman of the APC in Kano, Shehu Maigari also confirmed the date
The Tribunal during its last sitting announced that the parties would be notified on the date for the judgement.
Prior to this announcement, members of the ruling NNPP and opposition APC have gone into spiritual sessions through prayers and fasting seeking divine intervention in their favour.
