Two Minors ‘Slaughtered’ in Plateau

Two children were found slaughtered by yet-to-be-identified persons in Bassa Local Government Area of Plateau State.

Ya’u Idris, the chairman of the Mietti Allah Cattle Breeders Association (MACBAN), a Fulani socio-cultural group in the area, told Aminiya, the Hausa version of the Daily Trust Newspaper that the minors were found slaughtered in a nearby farm on Sunday morning.

Ya’u explained that the victims were seven and 12 years old, noting that they would inform the security agents before the bodies are taken for burial.

According to him, Bassa is a peaceful area in the state, so nothing can justify the ugly incident.

He thus called on the security agents to fish out the culprits to book.

Alfred Alabo, spokesman for Plateau Police Command told WikkiTimes that the police operatives would do everything humanly possible to bring the culprits to book to face the wrath of the law.

“The command is doing everything under its power to get the people that did it,” Alabo said.

The slaughtering comes barely six days after six miners were killed in the Farin Lamba area of Riyom Local Government in the state.
