Two Qur’anic Students Under Robles, Three others Injured In Kano

At least two students have been killed while three others sustained various injuries after an uncompleted building collapsed on them in Kano metropolis.

The uncompleted one-story building located in Hotoro area collapsed on the five students who used to sleep close to the building.

An eyewitness told journalists that on that night, two out of the five students died while the remaining were critically injured after the building collapsed on them, “The students that died were Ali aged about 28 and Abdulganiyu about 22 years old.”

It is also gathered that the collapsed building was not well built as there were problems associated with its construction material as some residents disclosed.

Saminu Yusuf Abdullahi, the Spokesman of the Kano State Fire Service, confirmed the incident. He said, “We are aware of the incident but they didn’t tell us on time. When our men were about to go there, they told us that they had since removed the victims and took them to hospital”.

WikkiTimes recalls that a 32-year-old man, Rabiu Musa, on March 18 lost his life when a three-story building collapsed on Ahmadu Bello Way in the Kano metropolis, and one 52-year-old man identified as Danjuma Tijjani was also trapped but was rescued alive with injuries.
