Two Suspected Armed Robbers In Adamawa Police Net

Two out of five suspected armed robbers believed to have been terrorising travellers along the Numan/Lafiya road, which connects Adamawa and Gombe States have been nabbed by the Adamawa State Police Command.

Their arrest according to a statement signed by the Police Public Relations Officer in Adamawa State, Sulaiman Yahaya Nguroje followed a thorough investigation carried out by the operatives of the command on the order of the Commissioner of Police.

The suspected armed robbers, identified as Bello Siddiki, aged 31 and Hammadu Saidu aged 25, both residents of Sabewa Borrong, Demsa Local Government Area of Adamawa State, were apprehended on 3rd June 2024 by the command’s operatives attached to the State Intelligence Department, Yola.

The statement says “These criminals are involved in multiple attacks on motorists along the highway way, including the recent robbery of a Sienna bus conveying passengers from Abuja to Yola”.

Items recovered from the suspects include two machetes, a knife, a handset, and a SIM card, believed to have been used to perpetrate their crimes.

The police explained that the suspects would be charged to court to face the consequences of their actions.
