No fewer than two women reportedly lost their lives in an accident at a mining site in Bar-Kudu community, Bogoro local council, Bauchi State.
WikkiTimes learnt that the women died after a pit collapsed on them at the site. Three other women also sustained injuries.
Member representing Bogoro constituency at the Bauchi State House of Assembly, Musa Maiwada disclosed this under matters of urgent public importance during plenary of the House on Thursday.
His words: “Five women miners involved in a mining site accident after mining pit collapsed on them at Bar Kudu.
“Two of the women died while others survived with different types of injuries and fractures.”
Nakwada said funerals arrangements for the deceased persons have been arranged while the injured ones are receiving medical treatments.
