A popular instant communication channel, WhatsApp, is currently grounded as a thousands of users are unable to use the platform.
The app owned by Meta, a conglomerate of company housing Facebook and Instagram, went down about 30 minutes ago in Nigeria.
DownDetector, an outage detection website confirmed the incident, according to Indian Express.
META WORKING TO FIX IT
According to Meta, the situation is being curtailed, as per Reuters’ report.
“We’re aware that some people are currently having trouble sending messages and we’re working to restore WhatsApp for everyone as quickly as possible,” a Meta spokesperson said in the report.
However, there is no official statement from the company yet.
