Gunmen suspected to be bandits, unsuccessfully invaded an apartment in Funtua Local Government Area of Katsina State, in an attempt to kidnap the occupant.
A footage from Close-circuit Television (CCTV) mounted on the apartment captured the frenzy scene where the bandits were trying to break into the house.
Frustrated and unsuccessful, the marauders fired direct bullets at the entrance door, yet to no avail.
Jamil Mabai, a source familiar with the incident tweeted the video yesterday evening.
“Bandits terrorist stormed this house in Funtua, Katsina to kidnapped the owner, as captured by CCTV camera, they couldn’t break the entrance door, they fired shots, yet they couldn’t open the door.. Katsina is not safe,” Mabai tweeted.
Responding, some tweeps corroborated Mubai’s words, saying no where is safe in the country.
Significantly, another tweet simply identified as Fisayo, blamed the continuous insecurity on citizens’ partisanship and bigotry when it comes to electing representatives.
“Bad governance knows no tribe or religion. If you vote because of tribe or religion over competence, you’ll pay the price later. Sometimes some people are just fortunate to pay in installment,” he wrote.
