A kidnapping kingpin in Kogi State has confessed how he spearheaded the killing of an abducted victim after collecting N350,000 from the latter’s relatives.
During an interrogation session with security operatives in a video clip obtained by WikkiTimes, the kidnapper said one of his team members, Abdulmalik, who was recognised by the victim, pleaded that he should be eliminated for fear of being exposed. “But I told him I have to pray first,” he said. “In whatever I do, I pray first.”
“We killed the man but I did the slaughtering, while my colleagues, Abdulmalik, Eze, Oneojo, David, and Melaja, held him firmly to the ground.”
According to him, the heinous act was carried out in February this year, but he could not recall the exact date. The nabbed kidnapper said he regretted his action.
Ovye Aya William, the spokesman for Kogi Police Command was not available for comment. Neither did he respond to calls nor an enquiry sent to him.
