Local fighters popularly known as vigilantes in Katsina State, have chopped off a notorious bandit leader’s head, celebrating victory with it.
The sluttered bandit leader fondly called ‘Solar’ with his group, has been terrorising Batsari town in Jibia Local Government Area of the state.

According to a Twitter post, ‘Solar’ as he is popularly known, earned the nickname because he operates in the daytime.
In a video clip obtained by WikkiTimes, locals were seen matching on a street and hailing the end of his dreadful reign as some brazen men flung his blood-clotted head.
“He will have a meeting with the Lord of the people he has killed so far today. His agony has begun sooner than he expected. May terrorists never know peace. May we be protected,” a tweep prayed.
The northwestern Katsina state has come under a series of attacks and abductions. In 2020, over 300 children were kidnapped by the terror group ‘Boko Haram’ in the town of Kankara.
Last month, the terrorist waylaid President Muhammadu Buhari’s convoy, killing two security officers. This was followed by a number of attacks in local villages where men were taken as slaves and women were being raped at will.
