Some of the Commissioners that were dissolved by the Bauchi State Governor, Bala Mohammed have reacted to the development after their disengagement.
Maryam Bagel, former commissioner for commerce and industry posted on her Facebook page that the Governor’s action was not a disappointment to her, she prayed for his success.
She said: “Every story has an end…but in life every end is a new beginning”. Just as I took to this platform several months ago to thank His Excellency our Governor for the honor he bestowed on me, of nominating me to the Honourable house as a member of his Executive Council, I am once again here today to appreciate His Excellency for the privilege of working closely with him, to leaned from his exemplary leadership, stewardship and mentorship.
“His Excellency Senator Bala Mohammed will remain and be remembered by history, as one of the finest Governor our state will ever produce. And I call on the good people of our dear state to continue to support and pray for this exceptional gift from Almighty Allah to succeed.
“My admiration and respect to His Excellency has only increased following the dissolution of his cabinet today. This is because I knew and believe it was one of the hardest decision he has to make, but all because of his desire for the betterment of a state he hold so dear.
“I want to declare here and now for everyone that cares to know that not for once will I ever stop to support His Excellency and his Government, whether I work in his government or not,” he said.
Also, Aliyu Maigoro, the Commissioner for Health said he has immediately returned to his clinical job after the dissolution of the cabinet on Wednesday.
He posted on his WhatsApp Status that: “Alhamdulillah for the services rendered to my State and to thank His Excellency the Executive Governor of Bauchi State for his mentorship and visionary leadership.
“I therefore unequivocally identify myself with, and pay glowing tribute to the wisdom and foresight of your administration. Thank you, Sir and wishing success in carrying the affairs of Bauchi State.”
The Governor in a press release on Wednesday morning had dissolved all the members of the State Executive Council, including Secretary to the State Government, Alh. Sabiu Baba and his Chief of Staff, Ladan Salihu and the special advisers –except only four.
