Why Our N41M Office Repair Project Got Delayed – NDLEA

The non-release of N41 million has stalled the renovation of our office complex in Taraba, the National Drug Law Enforcement Agency (NDLEA) has said.

The NDLEA clarified through its microblogging X handle, Tuesday, stressing that the funds have not been released for the project.

“Please note that the budgetary provision of N41,300,000 for the project you referred to under capital project ERGP 27191042 has not been released as of today (Monday), and so the project couldn’t have been done.”

Earlier Tracka, a civic organisation, through its X handle had challenged the NDLEA for its unexecuted office project. It stated that it tracked the project’s progress, and realised the project was yet to commence.

Tracka explained that the project ought have been executed in Taraba State, despite the N41 million allocation. Regardless, the agency insisted getting an allocation does not amount to getting the release to fully implement the project.

“N41m was allocated to the Rehabilitation of Office Complex, NDLEA, Taraba State, in the 2023 FG Budget. We tracked and reported that this project has not been done.

However, the NDLEA failed to explain the reasons for the delay in getting a release for the said projects.
