Wikki Tourists Football Club FC of Bauchi State on Thursday unveiled Abdu Maikaba as the new head coach of the club.
Maikaba who was given a two-year contract, managed the club from 2014 to 2016, when he led it to the CAF Confederation Cup in his second season.
Maikaba said that his primary goal is to bring the club back to Nigeria Premier Football League (NPFL).
He said that the club made him what he is today, adding that he had returned to complete the unfinished business.
Earlier, Auwal Gotal chairman of Wikki Tourism, said Maikaba was hired above other coaches because of his experience.
Gotel reiterated the management of the club’s readiness to provide him all the necessary support to achieve his goals.
“We contract him on three terms, short term, midterm, and long term.
“The short-term goal is to return the club to the NPFL, the midterm is to win the league, and the long-term goal is to win the continental trophy,” he said.
On his part, Mr Pascal Patrick, the Chairman, Bauchi Football Association, urged the new head coach to recruit quality players to achieve the club’s objective.
He urged the supporters of the club to behave responsibly during matches in order to avoid sanctions. (NAN)
