Job Title: Program Officer
As a Program Officer, you will be responsible for designing, implementing, and evaluating programs that align with our mission and objectives
Responsibilities:
- Program Design and Planning:
- Work with the Program Manager to develop program strategies and plans that align with WikkiTimes’ mission and objectives.
- Seeking funding and developing program proposals, including logical frameworks, budgets, and work plans.
- Conduct needs assessments and market research to identify gaps and opportunities for program growth.
- Design and develop monitoring and evaluation plans to ensure program effectiveness.
- Program Implementation:
- Manage program implementation, including budget management, procurement, and contracting.
- Coordinate and liaise with program partners, stakeholders, and beneficiaries.
- Facilitate capacity-building and training sessions for program beneficiaries and stakeholders.
- Conduct regular program reviews and provide guidance on program implementation issues.
- Monitoring and Evaluation:
- Develop and implement monitoring and evaluation plans to track program progress and outcomes.
- Design and conduct program evaluations, including baseline surveys and impact assessments.
- Analyze and report on program data to ensure program effectiveness and learning.
- Reporting and Documentation:
- Prepare program reports, including donor reports, progress reports, and final reports.
- Ensure timely and accurate documentation of program activities and outcomes.
- Manage program-related documentation, including contracts, agreements, and MOUs.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Social Sciences, or a related field.
- 3+ years of experience in program design, implementation, and evaluation.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Excellent project management and organisational skills.
- Ability to work independently and in a team environment.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Experience working with NGOs, Media outfits, donor organisations, and local stakeholders.
- Knowledge of monitoring and evaluation methodologies, including results-based management frameworks.

Job Title: Finance Officer
As the Finance Officer, you will be responsible for managing our financial operations, including budgeting, financial reporting, and overseeing our financial systems.
Responsibilities:
- Develop and manage the organization’s budget, including forecasting revenue and expenses.
- Ensure compliance with financial regulations and best practices.
- Oversee financial reporting and analysis, including financial statements and grant reports.
- Manage financial transactions, including accounts payable and receivable, payroll, and invoicing.
- Develop and maintain financial policies and procedures.

Qualifications:

As a newsroom intern, you will be responsible for:
- Assisting with research, writing, and editing news articles on a wide range of topics, from breaking news to feature stories
- Conducting interviews with sources and experts, and gathering information from a variety of sources, including social media, online databases, and government records
- Fact-checking and verifying information to ensure the accuracy and credibility of the news content
- Participating in brainstorming sessions and editorial meetings to develop story ideas and angles
- Contributing to the overall editorial strategy and content development for WikkiTimes
- Assisting with social media management and digital marketing activities to promote WikkiTimes content and engage with our audience
Qualifications:
- Currently pursuing or recently completed a degree in journalism, communications, or a related field
- Strong writing and editing skills, with keen attention to detail and accuracy
- Excellent research skills, with the ability to identify credible sources and analyze complex information
- Strong communication and collaboration skills, with the ability to work effectively in a team environment
- Proficient or passionate in social media platforms and digital tools for content creation and promotion
- Passion for news and current events, with a strong interest in the media industry and journalism
