Haruna Mohammed Salisu, the publisher of WikkiTimes, has lost his mother, Hajara Mohammed after a brief illness at the age of 70.
The deceased who passed away on Friday had been on admission at the Abubakar Tafawa Balewa University Teaching Hospital for days before she finally gave up the ghost.
Hajara, a devoted mother and grandmother, leaves behind her husband, Mohammed Salisu, seven children and 25 grandchildren.
Her funeral was held in Bauchi in accordance with Islamic rites, with family and friends gathering to pay their respects.
The publisher, who is currently in the United States for his graduate studies, expressed gratitude for the support from the community and friends during the trying period.
Before relocating to the United States for his studies, the publisher fled Nigeria in April, citing persecution by Bauchi State Governor Bala Mohammed.
