With Laundry Service, Bauchi Man Pockets Over N100,000 a Month

Yahaya Salihu, otherwise called Dan Baba, a Bauchi State-based laundry owner has revealed that he makes an average daily gain of N3,500 from his business.

The 24-year-old man who runs the laundry services at Ilelah, in Bauchi metropolis, disclosed that he has been in the business for years which provides him with a moderate living.

He told WikkiTimes, that he makes a minimum of N3000 to N4000 daily translating to an average of his monthly income at N105,000 from the laundry business.

According to Salihu, “You can make a lot of money from this business. In a day, I make a minimum of N3000 or N4000 which some government workers don’t earn.”

He explained that the business does not require huge capital for start-up.“The capital to start is not much. If you get like N100,000 you can start it. It depends on the area you want to start it.”

The young man added that what one needs to get is “to get your washing machine, table, pressing iron and other simple stuff, I think you can start,” he said, noting that there are washing machines that do not cost much and can be purchased at cheap price. “But, one can even start the business without a washing machine.”

He faulted some of his age mates who mini businesses as very hard to make a living out of. “Young men don’t do this job. They see it as a mere work which does not bring anything. But for me, I make a living out of this business,” he said.
