He said that  the caution was pertinent considering the recent libelous publication by one of its members against the Fika Emirate Council in the state.

“The Yobe State Council wishes to disassociate itself from the recent actions of one of its members who went on Facebook to write against Fika Emirate Council, Potiskum.

“We highly condemn this act in totality and are calling on our esteem members to be professional and always stay away from all acts capable of ruining the integrity of our noble and respected Union.

“The Union will henceforth not tolerate any form of unprofessional conduct; you are all advised to be good ambassadors of the NUJ in your dealings.

“As mirrors of the society, we urge all our members to be law abiding and stay away from all unwanted attitudes to sustain our integrity.

“We appreciate the hardwork and commitment of our members in the discharge of their social responsibilities,” Mohammed said.(NAN)
